Ocean’s Thirteen (2007)

Plot: The last time we saw Danny Ocean’s crew, they were paying back ruthless casino mogul Terry Benedict after stealing millions from him. Did you watch New Moon? Thumbs up or Down?
I have a thirteen year old niece who read the Twilight Saga books. You wanted so badly to see the movie New Moon. I have heard of the movie through TV commercials but never got a chance to see what it was rated. I went to WatchMoviesSite.com and decided to watch the bootleg version for free just so I’ll know what type of sex, violence or cursing was in the movie. I also wanted to watch it to see why she was so obsessed with it. Granted I love Vampire Ware-wolf movies but after watching New Moon I do not see why this movie has so many people waiting in lines and texting all their friends. This movie was nothing special and far from spectacular.

If you haven’t watch the movie yet then you are missing nothing. I personally would save the 10 bucks for a DVD rental of "Pet Cemetery". New Moon is about a young girl who wants to be a vampire so she can live forever with her Vampire boyfriend. The Boyfriend rejects her and being a hot in the pant teen as she is she decided to go after her childhood friend who turns out to be a WareWolf. In the first movie "Twilight" the bot friend (Edward) stalked her beyond believe. Had this been real life he would have been in jail for stalking. Now in the movie New Moon there is yet again another stalker. This time it’s the Childhood friend, the Warewolf. He stalks and protects her like the vampire did in Twilight. Ohh yeah , Warewolves kills vampires to past time (geezz)

So now we have this dependent girl who cant live without a boyfriend in her life. I mean she tried to kill herself many times just so she could see him in a vision. Talk about fatal obsession! After she tried cliff diving into the ocean her Blood sucking boyfriend thought she was dead and decided to kill himself. She arrives just in time to save him. Now the new Buff wolf boyfriend is upset because he is now the jilted one.

The movie ends very strangely but still in a pretty good way to let you know there’s another story coming. Like I said the movie was nothing special and giving it 2 thumbs down might be a little harsh but fitting compared to "Pet Cemetery". I suggest you watch New Moon free online first and then decide if you want to purchase the DVD or make a trip to your local theater. Let me know what you thought about New Moon.

And, I have to disagree with your "review" if you even want to call it that. Your question is more a rant than a proper question.

You first say that you want to understand, but you seem pretty decided. You admit that you illegally watched it online instead of actually going to the theater. You didn’t read the books, you didn’t try to understand the movie (because it wasn’t tricky to follow.)

Also, you posted parts of Twilight as New Moon…wrong.

New Moon is the continuing story of a girl, who in the first movie, Twilight, finds out about the vampire world, a world where she finally finds her soul mate and true love. She is open and understanding and non-judgemental and accepts them for who they are and who they are trying to be.

In this sequel, the vampire decides that despite their love, his world is continuing to put her at risk, so he leaves. She has to learn to live without him and find herself and her friends after feeling that her world ended. (I don’t agree with this part…the whole depression for months is overly stated, but it shows the loss that you think you feel when this happens.) She is thrown into another world of what she thought was myth when she discovers that her new best friend can turn into a werewolf to defend the humans from the vampires.

Pet Cemetery? Seriously? That was a joke of a movie…and anyone who read the book would have agreed…the book was miles beyond better than the film. In the case of the Twilight saga, many of the viewers are fans who have read the book, and they would still say the book is better, but the films are bringing the story that they love to the big screen. If there are elements of the story that you don’t agree with, use those opportunities to talk to your niece about them and how a better response would be, but you have to remember that it’s fiction.

Your words…"he would have been in jail for stalking" well…as soon as the real world has vampires protecting humans from other vampires, maybe the stalking laws will change, but to compare his behavior to that of a normal human is just silly. And in this movie, the werewolf definitely doesn’t do any stalking.

Read the books with an open mind for enjoyment and fun. Watch the films without preemptively judging them negatively and maybe you’ll have a little fun with your niece.

Well there's this girl.?
Ok. Well I’m dating this girl who started off as my best friend for a while, but then we started dating and have been for 5 months. We always agreed that if we didn’t work out we would go back to being best friend. But recently I started seeing this other girl more and more, like at school and stuff. We talk occasionally and I sit next to her in one of my classes. But the more I talk to her in class the more I am falling for this girl. And when i say falling i mean Im dying in love with this chick. We spent the first lesson together just sharing interests and we have EVERYTHING in common. I mean EVERYTHING. We like all of the same foods, we share the same dis-likes, we listen to the same music, we like the same movies, books, actors. Our personalities seem different but they don’t seem to clash. And another amazing thing about this girl is how stunningly beautiful/hot/cute/amazing she is. She has easily got to be the most good looking girl i have ever seen in my life.

But she has a boyfriend
And they have been dating for 8 months….

I don’t know what to do
I lay down in bed at night and all i can think about is her. If i hear my phone go off I rush to see if she has texted me, which she sometimes does for school reasons. And even if its just a few texts, i feel so amazing inside. If its not her i feel all disappointed, and sometimes when its my girlfriend i even feel angry.

I feel like if i was given the chance, I would cheat on my girlfriend with this girl, even though I love my girlfriend dearly, and have shared so much of my life with her as my best-friend, and lately as my girlfriend. And even though I would never want my girlfriend being hurt in any way, this love i feel for this girl is amazing and I feel like its just perfect.

Then there’s the fact that even if i managed to break up with my girlfriend and stay friends, and magically this girl broke up with her boyfriend, i wouldn’t even be certain that i would even be able to get with her :/

Sometimes when we are in class together, if we are doing group work, and we aren’t talking but someone else in our group is, we catch each others gaze and there is this moment, which lasts for 2-3 seconds, where we just hold each others gaze and it just feels amazing. You need to break up with her because honestly, your relationship with her is not very strong if you can ‘fall in love’ so easily with another girl. Another girl who is in love with someone else.

This is not fair to your girlfriend. You are with her, yet you would rather be with someone else?

What if your girlfriend was in love with some other guy when she was with you, and the only reason that she didn’t dump you for him was because he had a girlfriend?? What if she told you that she was positive that if this certain guy wanted her, she would totally cheat on you to have one awesome night of sex with the hottest guy that she has ever seen? But she doesn’t want to break up with you….what would you think? Would you just rather that she broke up with you? I’m sure that you would.

You really are not being fair to your girlfriend. Think about it, dude, doesn’t your girlfriend deserve to have a boyfriend who is fully devoted to her and loves her more than anything and would never want to do anything to hurt her? If so, then that guy is NOT you and you need to let her go so that she can actually find that guy and be happy with him instead. She does not deserve this. At all.

If you can actually be a big boy here, then you need to do the big boy thing and break up with your girlfriend because you are seriously just wasting her time. She deserves someone who can actually be with just her, and think that she is enough for him. Let her go find that person because it is NOT you.
Come on, you know that it’s the right thing to do.

If you have to stay with your girlfriend (you don’t have to. You may think that you do, but you don’t) then at least switch classes so that you are not around the other girl at all. Erase her number from your phone and never speak with her again. If you cannot do this, then you NEED to break up with your girlfriend. You are hugely disrespecting her right now and she does not deserve it.

I know that I would much rather my boyfriend break up with me than to do what you are doing and I love him more than anything in the world- he’s been my best friend for years, but I would much rather him break up with me than remain with me knowing that if he had the chance, he would cheat.

Omen, The (2006)

I somtimes feel like I’m not living towards anything either. But then I realise I have my whole life ahead of me and anything could happen. I haven’t even left school yet.

You took a chance starting your own firm. There is nothing wrong with that. I am a risk taker to, and it seems like it kind of came back to bite me financially.

I think the only advice I can give you, is that there can be spiritual value in suffering. I truly think we have reached a point in our nation’s history and human history where the best amongst us will be left behind.

Sometimes when I feel really bad about my financial situation, I look up on-line about people in poverty who barely have a home or no home at all. And a lot of times I will see a smile on their face. I wonder, "How can a person who has nothing, smile"? What values do they have, that maybe I can tap into?

I attached a link about a story of a family I recently saw on-line. Please look at it, and realize that they have hit bottom yet they keep pushing forward when they could have easily give up.

STOP LOOKING FORWARDS. Don’t focus on the future, or your past. Just be here now. Just focus on whatever happens to be in your surroundings. Be it computer, office, desk, sky, trees, bird, pencil. Just be here. Don’t look to be happy, just be here. If you want to be happy, then you wont be – you have to stop chasing it to find it. It’s like going fishing. If you ramble on after it with a great big spear, you wont catch it. If you just cast your line and wait patiently, you will eventually catch it.

Just be patient and focus on the present. Just be there, wherever you are.

You are not alone in how you are feeling. If you type ‘treatments’ in google, ‘for depression’ comes up first!

Anyone who has ever suffered depression will know how useless it is to be told ‘pull yourself together’ or ‘move on’; the state of depression is utterly debilitating, but you have also received some good advice.

A visit to your GP would be a good start, medication can be a great short term measure to stabilize you, after which you can choose the most appropriate longer term help & support for your depression.

Have you ever come accross Eckhart Tolle? Not to everyones taste but I recommend checking him out and see what you make of it. The youtube clip posted here is on suffering.

There are so many resources and approaches to dealing with depression, that really you will need to find what feels right for you, whether that be psychotherapy, counselling, CBT, NLP, finding your faith, changing your diet, increasing exercise, meditation – the list goes on, so the good news is that there is an abundance of avenues to explore! Well done for having the courage to post your question and being open to receiving support and love.

The Friends of Eddie Coyle (1973)

Plot: Eddie’s friends are numerous, but the term friends is suspect. As a small time hood Eddie is about to go back to jail.
